Past and present members of the Canadian Military/RCMP forces.
November 16, 2005
Dear Friends;
Subject: Canadian Military/RCMP Forces Superannuation Benefits-Reduction at age 65.
Committee members of the campaign against benefit reduction at age 65 wishes to advise that Mr.Peter Stoffer, MP is announcing, on our behalf, the following private member’s bill registration with the Parliament house of common. The bill registration no is: C-441 dated November 14, 2005.
An act to amend the Canadian Forces Superannuation Act and the Royal Mounted Police Superannuation Act ( elimination of deduction from annuity ) Bill C-441 is now listed on our web site.
Canada is a Democratic Country and the right to free speech is enclaved in our constitution. Eventually there will be a vote in the house of Parliament. This subject matter is now in your hands. We encourage all members and their family to write all MP’s and future candidates to support this initiative. Members of parliament need to be reminded that Military/RCMP members, theirs family and friends can add up to about 2.5 million votes.
Since February 21, 2005 members of the campaign committee have worked diligently towards a solution that would terminate this unjust and unfair policy that is levelled at our Veterans. Now the torch is passed to you.
We want our Golden years financial dignity restored !
Respectfully yours
