The Canadian Forces Members and
Veterans Re-establishment and Compensation Act known as the New
Veterans Charter (NVC). THE NVC came into force 01 April
2006 and applies to all CF personnel medically released from that
date.
The New Veterans Charter's programs and
services can be summed up in one word: "wellness." They
offer:
- one-on-one case management;
- rehabilitation;
- financial benefits;
- group health insurance;
- job placement assistance;
- the lump-sum Disability Award and
other allowances; and
- support to families.
Are
you eligible as a CF veteran, making a claim on or after 01 April
2006, for the NVC?
